Chobe National Park in northern Botswana is home to one of the largest elephant populations in Africa, and it’s only about 80 km from Victoria Falls. On this full-day safari you’re collected from your hotel, taken through the Kazungula border and handed over to your Botswana guides in Kasane.
The morning is spent on the Chobe River on a boat cruise, the best way to see elephants swimming and drinking, as well as hippos, crocodiles, buffalo and superb birdlife. After lunch at a riverside lodge you switch to an open 4×4 for an afternoon game drive along the riverfront, where lion, giraffe, sable and more may be seen. You’re back in Victoria Falls by evening.
Prices are in US$ per person and include VAT. The park, conservation or activity levy is paid separately. Rates are valid until December 2026 and all activities are subject to availability.

Yes. You cross an international border into Botswana. Check whether your Zimbabwe visa allows re-entry. A single-entry visa doesn’t, but a double-entry or KAZA UniVisa does.
The dry season, roughly June to October, brings the biggest elephant herds to the river. The green season has lush scenery, baby animals and superb birding. See our Chobe guide on the blog.
Chobe is best for elephant, buffalo and lion. Leopard is possible but less common, and rhino isn’t usually seen on this trip.
