Template for review: have this page checked by the business owner or a legal adviser and confirm all bracketed details before publishing.

1. Bookings

A booking is confirmed when we’ve confirmed availability in writing (WhatsApp or email) and received any required payment. All activities and accommodation are subject to availability.

2. Prices

Prices are quoted in US dollars per person and include VAT unless stated. Unless listed as included, prices exclude national park, conservation and activity fees, visas, Zambia transfers, gratuities and items of a personal nature. Activity rates are valid until 31 December 2026. Prices may change if suppliers, governments or exchange rates change them, and we’ll tell you before you pay.

3. Payment

[Set out deposit amount, balance due dates and accepted payment methods, e.g. “A deposit of [x]% secures multi-day safaris; the balance is due [x] days before arrival. Day activities are payable in full at confirmation.”]

4. Cancellations by you

[Insert cancellation scale, e.g. “More than [x] days before: [x]% refund; [x]–[x] days: [x]%; less than [x] hours or no-show: no refund.”] Some suppliers, including light-aircraft flights, Livingstone Island and lodges, have their own stricter terms. We’ll confirm these before you pay.

5. Changes and cancellations by us or suppliers

Activities depend on weather, river levels and safety conditions. Rafting, Livingstone Island and Devil’s Pool are seasonal. If an activity can’t run, we’ll offer an alternative date, a similar activity or a refund of the activity price.

6. Travel documents and health

You’re responsible for valid passports, visas (including KAZA UniVisa or re-entry visas for cross-border trips) and any health requirements. Victoria Falls is in a malaria area, so please take medical advice before travelling.

7. Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation and adventure activities is strongly recommended, and is compulsory for multi-day safaris.

8. Risk and responsibility

Adventure activities carry inherent risk. You must follow guides’ instructions, disclose relevant medical conditions and sign operators’ indemnity forms where required. Activities are operated by licensed third-party operators. Journeys in Africa acts as booking agent and is not liable for the acts or omissions of suppliers, except where the law says otherwise.

9. Complaints

If something isn’t right, tell your guide or contact us immediately on WhatsApp so we can try to fix it on the spot. Written complaints should be sent to bookings@journeysinafrica.com within 28 days of travel.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
