Who we are

Journeys in Africa is a tour operator based in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Contact us at bookings@journeysinafrica.com about anything in this policy.

What we collect

When you enquire or book, we collect your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, travel dates, number of travellers, accommodation, and any details you share, such as dietary or medical requirements needed to deliver your trip safely. For bookings we may also need passport details for border crossings and park permits.

How we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and prepare quotes
  • To book and manage your activities, transfers and accommodation
  • To share necessary details with suppliers who deliver your trip (for example activity operators, lodges and transfer companies)
  • To meet legal, tax and park-authority requirements

We don’t sell your data. We only send marketing emails if you’ve asked to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

WhatsApp and email

Our enquiry forms open WhatsApp or your email app with your message pre-filled. The forms themselves don’t store your details on this website. Messages you send are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) or your email provider under their own privacy terms.

Cookies and third-party services

This site uses Google Fonts and an embedded Google Map, which may set cookies or log your IP address. [Add any analytics or advertising tools here once installed.]

How long we keep data

We keep booking records for as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes [state period], and enquiry details for [state period] unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing bookings@journeysinafrica.com. We handle personal data in line with Zimbabwe’s Cyber and Data Protection Act and, for EU and UK travellers, applicable data protection law.
