Overview

Livingstone Island sits right on the lip of Victoria Falls on the Zambian side. It’s where David Livingstone first looked over the edge in 1855. You reach it by boat across the top of the Falls, then walk to viewpoints where the water plunges away beneath you.

When water levels allow, usually from around mid-year to January, guests can swim with a guide in Devil’s Pool, a natural rock pool on the very edge of the drop. At other times, Angel’s Pool or the island viewpoints take its place. Breakfast is served on the island afterwards.
