Overview

A microlight is a small, open-cockpit aircraft that seats just you and your pilot. You feel the air, you hear the Falls, and you see the Zambezi spread out in every direction. Many travellers say it’s the best view they had in Africa.

Flights leave from the Zambian side near Livingstone. The longer 25-minute flight continues over Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, where elephants, giraffe and even white rhino may be spotted. For safety, cameras aren’t allowed on board, but a wing-mounted camera captures your flight.

The 25-minute flight was the right call. We saw elephants and hippos on the river too.
